But It seems to me that the recomendations should provide links to the last.fm radio stations. Support for all the last.fm stations via tags and similar artists would be excellent, not to meniton personal and neighborhood radio and loved tracks for the subscribed last.fm users. Banshee clearly reminds me about iTunes, has an inbuilt Audioscrobbler and some nice plugins that you should consider using. For instance the Music Recommendations, a Last.fm plugin showing you similar artists and the most popular songs from the currently playing artist. It sucks that Linux as a plattform cant decide on uniform standards (although that can be considered a strong point too). But Helix, Xine, Gstreamer, KDE, GNOME, GTK, QT, V4L1/2, Listen, Banshee, Amarok, Rhythmbox. It sucks that so much talent and time goes into different projects and not into a single effort to make a great system. Mac OS X has managed to do this, but its closed source, so it does not count.
